Introducing the founders of Prescient Group:

Charles Barber
Charles Barber is a founder, President, and CEO of Prescient Group. He served in the U.S. Navy with distinction for over twenty-four years. During his service, he was assigned to hot spots around the world in both aviation and shipboard roles. From these sensitive duties, he gained both line experience and an international grasp of physical security issues. After leaving the Navy, Barber went on to found several successful technology and maritime-related businesses.

Barber brings his vast expertise in aviation, maritime operations and shipbuilding, as well as modern security systems to Prescient Group. As both an operator and project manager, Barber has managed to parlay his real-time operational experience as a pilot and ship’s navigator into successful results as a systems and project manager. His experience and proven results benefit Prescient Group and those who come to rely on Prescient for knowledge enhanced security.

Kendall Chen
Kendall Chen is co-founder and Chairman of Prescient Group. Chen brings with him over thirty years experience in industries involving the protection of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) tankers, marine terminals, infrastructure and personnel protection in various war zones, and high threat anti-terrorist territories. He served for twenty years as President of Energy Transportation Corporation. At the time, Energy Transportation Corporation was the largest single transporter of liquefied natural gas in the world.

Unique to all of these endeavors, is Chen’s hands-on leadership style. Chen’s philosophy is that leadership “must come from the van,” as he has ably demonstrated, whether on the deck of one of his ships, or on the ground serving in a foreign hot spot. Chen’s international experience makes him uniquely qualified to lead Prescient Group in serving the security needs of its clients. In addition to Prescient Group, Chen has served or serves on multiple boards and has owned companies in the fields of worldwide security, medical technology, control systems, and hydronic technology.
